Individualized case coordination and personal advocacy services including home visits, are provided to elderly and disabled victims of abuse, as well as monthly Multidisciplinary Elder Abuse outreach and trainings.

Elder Abuse includes the willful infliction of physical pain, injury or mental anguish, unreasonable confinement, or the willful deprivation by a caretaker of services necessary to maintain mental and physical health. Neglect is when a disabled adult who is either living alone and not able to provide for themselves the services necessary to maintain their mental or physical health or is not receiving services from their caretaker. Exploitation is the illegal or improper use of a disabled adult or their resources for another’s profit or advantage. Abusers of the elderly can include spouse, children, family members, or anyone who has contact with the victim. Elderly victims will be able to see a nurse practitioner, speak with a counselor, and received resources for Medicaid and housing all at Square One.
